She bought Zumba dance workout DVD’s (Zumba is a type of dance, she also takes Zumba classes at the YMCA), and other dance workout DVD’s. Good luck!

I have tried several different diets- weight watchers, slim fast, atkins, cabbage soup and have had limited success. I have some family members that are using Medi Fast and have lost about 40 lbs in 4 months. Thats the kind of success I would like to have. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of Medifast?

Best answer:

Answer by aed78
The reason Medifast works is because your calorie intake is restricted. We all know that if we lay off the fast food and late night snacking we will stop gaining so much weight.

Barring some rare medical condition diagnosed by your doctor, the answer to your failure is simple: you are eating too much and are not getting enough exercise.

I am so tired of people complaining that they just “can’t lose weight!” Stop complaining, take responsibility for your situation and solve the problem! It is easy. Go to your doctor to make sure you are healthy, then get advice from him/her on what you should to to get healthier. Those fad diets out there are not healthy and are not long-term solutions to your problems.

Your problem is lack of self control and laziness– do you really want to treat your body like this? You owe it to yourself to do the best you can to get (and stay) healthy– YOU ARE WORTH IT!

Hello…I’m a semi-active 29 year old mom. I usually do cardio 4 times a week and weights 2 days a week before I got pregnant. Currently, I’m about to give birth in less than 3 weeks, but I want to already have my diet plan in order. I will need to lose about 35 pounds. So please give me any good diet suggestions or programs you have used, so I can plan accordingly.

Im what they call a “pollo vegetarian”. I have just recently got into eating chicken again on occasion. Im been a pure vegetarian for about 3 years. Im not fat but im not skiny either. I want to be more slim and fit. I want to know if any of you know any good daily workout routines or healthier diet plans i should follow. Thanks!!

Best answer:

Answer by MSB
Pollo vegetarian? LOL… that is an oxy-moron. Why confuse people even more? Vegetarians are misunderstood enough without meat-eaters calling themselves vegetarians.

Anyway, I have found the balanced diet of the American Diabetes Association to be a really great, well-balanced healthy diet.

I’m not diabetic, but my husband is, he dropped 70 pounds and I dropped 40.

Also, drinking green smoothies every day has also been very beneficial (you can google it to find different recipes)… we usually have it as a meal replacement. It makes sure you get a full day’s servings of greens every day, and tastes great, like a regular smoothie. I grow stevia plants and throw the leaves in there to sweeten them up naturally.

Fitday.com is a great free sight where you can keep a diet & wt loss journal. You can keep track of everything you put in your mouth, exercise and how much calories approximately burned, gives you little charts and stuff to show your progress… it’s a great tool.

Best answer:

Answer by SandyK
Ive been on the program for a week now and Ive lost 10 lbs already. The first couple of days are hard, your cutting your calorie count to between 800 – 1000 calories so its a big adjustment. But after a few days you are use to it. If gives you a real energy boost and you feel all around healthy! You have to follow it to the Letter if you want real results. Prevent boredom and cheating by finding some medifast recipes, they are delicious! I made pancakes this morning out of my medifast meals!

Its not as expensive as Jenny Craig or Nutrasystem. For a month supply its alittle over 300 dollars.

Question by Julie L: What is the best way to avoid saggy skin during a weight loss regiment?
I’m 29, I’m 5’2”. In the past 2.5 weeks i have lost 11 pounds and now weigh 205. I have already noticed a little skin sag.
I reviewed the other questions on this topic. I want to know if it is necessary to stick to the regiment of 2 pounds max per week for weight loss or it’s alright to lose more if you’re doing higher intensity exercises like swimming, running, bicycling.
I’ve been losing weight so fast b/c i’ve cut down on how much food i’ve been eating, working out multiple times a day and cutting down on sleep ( i was sleeping too much previously).
would collagen in skin spring back faster if i lose weight at the slower rate of 2 lbs per week?
even if i lose weight faster than the 2 lbs, and lose weight at the 1 lb/ day as i am now, will my skin shrink to normal eventually? (i hope to lose at least 70 more lbs) i’m willing to lose weight 2lb/wk. i gained this weight of 65 pounds over the past year. i haven’t had it for very long. is my skin resilient? be honest.

Best answer:

Answer by *stardirt*
My skin has been shrinking…as my sleep has increased. I sleep at least six hours per night. Sometimes seven or eight. You need to increase your sleep to increase weight loss and body repair. Congratulations on the good results of your hard work, and good luck!

And how bad is loss of appetite? Does it just change or is it totally gone? Is it the appetite that effects weight or is it an increased metabolism, or both? Also, how prevalent is weight loss, loss of appetite, and fever with advanced cancers?

Best answer:

Answer by april
Neither generally comes first. Where did you even get that idea?Cancer doesn’t cause a fever and unless you have a later stage cancer involving the digestive system, you probably won’t have any weight loss. I’ve met many people this past year with cancer and the only one with any weight loss was an old man with stomach cancer that had metastasized to ther organs. He was in a very advanced stage and didn’t live much longer.
