What are some fun activities that can burn a lot of calories and help weight loss?
Some don’t like the weight lifting/cardio type of training. What else can they do?

I’m not into the gym that much, but I do fun activities to stay fit. I love squash (or tennis in the summer) because its a fantastic cardio workout and you can play it all year round. I also rock climb at an indoor club in the winter too, and it supplements the weight training. I do 10 minute pilates workouts in my house if I’m not feeling up to going out to work out or don’t have the time.

In the summer theres more options, like walking, hiking, biking, rollerblading, swimming etc.

sex. well at least if you are the one working can burn a lot of calories. Playing door tag, where you ring a door bell or knock on a door then run can be interesting. or go to a mall and shoot a security guy with silly string and try to get away. The best thing to do is actual cardio. If you are not into the gym just try to do something active that you also find fun. Swimming is also the biggest way to burn calories but you need to watch what you eat more so then what you do to burn the calories. Just remember that coke you drink has 130 cal. in it that muffin from Starbucks has 300. It is about 80% of what you put in your body compared to the 20% of what you do to get rid of it.

Cardiovascular activity ( activity which involves the heart and lungs) such as skipping, jumping jacks and cross- country running. Dancing burns 196 calories an hour and you can join classes, do it with a partner, its free at your home and you can do it too any music you like. Also, dancers tone more than any other sport and you will never see a proffesional dancer that is unhealthy.
